God places His people in our lives everyday to do His work.

Nine years ago when my wife, 2 high school boys, and I moved to Katy, we began right away to search for a church home.  We stumbled on CrossPoint worshiping in a school just like Seven Lakes.   My two boys and I joined several men in setting up church early Sunday mornings just like we do at Seven Lakes.  What I didn’t expect were the men God placed in the set up team to show my boys how important it is to serve.  Curtis, Bret, Paul and Joel showed my boys to get up early Sunday morning to set up for church was not work, but it was their way to serve God by sacrificing early Sunday mornings to make worship special for others.  These men showed my boys what it meant to serve others by giving up sleeping in on a Sunday morning. This also gave them insight to what goes on “behind the scenes” to set up for church .

Shortly there after, God placed someone else in my boy’s lives.  CrossPoint called a Youth Minister.  This Youth Minister had dedicated his life to serve others by delivering God’s message through serving others.  He showed my boys what it meant to be a Christian and dedicate your life to serving others.  I firmly believe God placed this Youth Minister in my boy’s lives to show them what it meant to be a Christian, believe in Jesus Christ and to serve  others. The Youth Minister God placed in my boy’s lives was Pastor Dan

God placed these men in my boy’s lives. And just like these men, He has placed all of us to  serve others in our everyday lives.  God placed all of us at CrossPoint Seven Lakes for that reason, to serve others and to be His witness just like those men setting up for church in the early days of CrossPoint and Pastor Dan as CrossPoint’s first Youth Minister.

We must ask ourselves everyday, who does God want us to serve.
